Ive never dealt with an Amplifier before. A friend gave me a Heath SB-200. It appears I have to make a connection between the AMP KEY terminal of the ACC-1 accessory connector and the AMP KEY Socket

Sometimes a short delay has to be added between the time your rig is keyed and the amp is keyed. To be clearer, the amplifier must be keyed first, to ensure its T/R relay is connected to your antenna

You are right to warn about connecting an Eagle (or any other modern radio) to an SB-200 without a keying change. I am guessing that far more damage would be done to the Eagle than just to the keying

OK, accepting the fact regarding the keying interface, be safe and CHECK FIRST. With the amp not connected to the Eagle, turn the amp on, then measure the voltage between the center pin of the amplif
