Gil, maybe you are tuning the PBT through the passband window too quickly and missing the signal. The passband is pretty narrow with the 217 filter and you may zip right through it. Find a good signa

The PBT does not work when in the narrow position. The signal is always there from one end of the PBT to the other, in other words....it does not affect the signal at all.   Like I mentioned before,

Tuning the PBT too quickly through the passband of the narrow filter is my first guess too. I don't know a lot about the Corsair, so there is a good chance I'm about to say something that applies to

If you put the 217 in the slot on the PBT board it will not work. The 217 is a 9 MHz IF filter, the PBT board of the Corsairs use the 28# series of filters (6 MHz) not the 21# series.. You could get

So which is the right 500hz filter for the Corsair?   I have tried two different #217 filters and both are the same, drop in gain and no PBT.   Gil _______________________________________________ Ten

If you are trying to use the model 217 (a 9 MHz filter) in the 6.3 MHz IF (the PBT board) it is not going to work. I don't know the Corsair well enough to say for certain, but if it is like the early
