I am looking for advice on the best way to connect a Pegasus to a Heathkit SB-200 linear amp. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks, Bud Holman, WA4ASJ -- FAQ on WWW: http://www.contestin

You must modify the SB-200 to accept the keying level of the Peg. Harbach electronics make a complete keying and soft start mod for the SB-200 http://www.harbach.com/ While you're at it replace the f

I'm not sure what the Pegasus uses to key an amplifier, but most Ten-Tecs use a relay. The SB-200 may put a higher voltage and current on that relay (or other circuitry) than is appropriate. A fellow

Since the Peg uses a transistor for keying the relay, you had better use another relay in between the rig and the amp. I believe the manual mentions this. Steve N4LQ -- Original Message -- From: "Bud

The Pegasus uses a high-power Darlington transistor for its amp key line. The transistor is VCEo rated at 350VDC and a maximum current of 1-amp DC. The Pegasus is capable of switching most any DC ele
