I don't have the Argo V (yet!!!) but every noise blanker I have in every radio I've ever had will add some "distortion" to a strong signal, especially in the presence of another strong signal anywher

You're right, Clark, noise blankers represent tradeoffs. For example: My Corsair: no distortion, but limited noise blanking ability. Paragon: great blanking, but introduces distortion, typically key

I found that out by adjusting both bandwidth AND noise blanker. Man this NB is FB. Noise, then no noise. Cool. You will like the 516. It's a fun rig to use especially @ QRP. :) See you on the air! Ro
