I have found that the 18 micro henry coil in the 238 does not have enough L to tune my 130' inverted L with about 45' of down lead on the end (175' total.) It will tune it if I shorten it but I don't

Jerry, use a 4:1 transformer to lower the impedance. Then you do not need such a large inductor. I have run out of capacity on my 238. I used the extra capacitor Ten Tec sent with the tuner. The 238
