- Alan, Are you sure that you are actually losing the "weak" CW signal, and not just filtering them out of the passband? Once you "lose" a signal, use the RIT in the fine tuning mode to try and retune

- It's not really the filter, it's pretty wide at 1.9kc. The low bandwidth audio stream does cause some nasty artifact noises. I also suffer from an occasional dimmer switch in the house that goes nuts
