Anyone align one of these rigs? I found that in CW my center frequency was about 850 Hz (and that is rough with the 250 Hz filter). I got the audio filter and its center was dead on at 750 Hz. So....

Just call Ten Tec. I suspect most of the PTO's are the very same PTO. I know the Corsairs and the early OMNI's were the same and the Argosy PTO looks to be the same. I am sure Ten Tec stocks the par

I always called that "backlash". Only experienced it on the Ten Tec PTO. It actually moves the knob backwards. I never incurred that one. I had this exact problem more than once and it was the sprin

Well, well. I thought I got my carrier oscillators just right (by ear). SB-N sounds about the same as SB-R, and I was able to get the CW position to center on 750 Hz with the 250 Hz filter inserted.

Hi Kevin and the group - I have a bit of knowledge here. I have owned the OMNI C and now the OMNI VI. The lettered OMNI's are all from the mid to late 70's and are early transistorized rigs. There w

Good for you, those CW filters really do the trick. The only complaint I have ever had with my OMNI, is that the loss from putting two filters in line makes copy of the very weak ones a bit of a chal
