I have an Astron 35 amp supply also. It will ride thru short (1 or 2 second) outages but not 10 seconds. Turn off Orion and then the start up time is approx 10 seconds. The battery idea is a good one

Tried PSK-31 and AFSK and all works perfectly. Sound board output thru isolation transformer to AUX Audio input (nice to have premade Din plug cable). Set AUX gain at "4" and audio input to AUX only.

Jim, The Orion has an adjustment on External T/R delay for each non QSK amplifier controlled. The time delay is adjustable. Look at the TX Menu and you will see the two adjustments. No problem here.

I found it necessary for my FT-100 and for my friends ICOM 706. In case you cannot measure the point where distortion or other problems occur then just use the DC - DC converter to guarantee 13.8 V.
