Hi Newbie hereI have recently won a Omni C, It was purchase knowing that it had a fault on it, it had suffered damage to the switches ( Vox,Qsk etc) and slight bend in the shaft of band select switch

Hi BarryThanks for that info, will try that, but, for the moment I have another Omni c, which works so I am board swapping at the moment, I have found a problem with the IF board, possibly the 40823

Hi AllJust an update on my Omni C.It turned out to be self inflicted I'm afraidwhilst waiting for the replacement switches to arrive I changed all the tropical fish capacitors for epoxy types.Turned

Hi AllI have a problem with my Orion C, low RF output, typically 30 watts only, no ALC light, traced the fault to a tant cap on the tx mixer board, the fitted board number is 90857, the diagram shows

Hi all.Just an update on the low RF output problem I experienced on my OMNI C, I removed the TX mixer board and replaced the 4.7mf tant as I have had bad experience with these components in the past.

Ok, an update on alleged frequency discrepancy, when using TUNE function i am 49 kHz low however when using mic (TT 705)  frequency is spot on. Still got the anomaly with L1-4 voltages. Snowy G0HZE _
