There is no battery in the RTC chip. It maintains time via the 3 volt lithium battery that is used for the Omni VI memories. The only Ten Ten with an internal battery for the RTC was in the Paragon s
The detected (recovered audio) does loop through the processor board for the DSP functions, and that path is muted by the uP during transmit. However, during transmit power lines RX and TX from the e
Hello to the group... I am looking for 9 MHz and 6 MHz Inrad CW filters for one of my Omni VI Plus rigs. Would consider upgrading to Inrad SSB filters as well, but immediate need is for CW. Regards P

I just spend a day working on a replacement 81597 board for my Omni VI rigs... added the ten turn pots. Odd thing is when I tried to align the board, obtaining the 400 Hz offset for CW was impossible
As you just described the problem as needing to do a 100 Hz offset sounds more like an error in the CW BFO settings or something related to whatever gives the CW offset in that rig. Pete ____________
That warbling can also be caused by a HFO crystal that is trying to phase lock to the master oscillator. The PLL will sweep the oscillator loop voltage trying to achieve a locked condition. I've had
Most likely a bad relay in the transmitter low pass filter bank.. Unlocked HFO does not cause low power, just a few kHz error and a warbly signal. _______________________________________________ TenT
As far as receive, the last low pass filter covers from 22 to 30 MHz, so if ten meters works that rules out a relay problem. You can verify relay select voltage for both 10 and 12 meters on the last
Phil Do NOT attempt to realign those passband filters! Normal aging will not give you a 20 dB signal loss. Alignment can mask other problems and can compound finding a resolution for your problem. Re
I would be interested in picking up a junker Omni VI Plus or Opt 3 for parts. Not worried about case, front panel or PA condition, but prefer a unit that is likely to have good CPU, VFO and crystal m
I think I am all set. Thanks for the read. Pete _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec
The disc capacitor values are probably unique for that filter. If someone has one out of a radio you could compare values. _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@c
I am curious if the radio always had the tone in the background? If it is something that has recently increased, I'd check the PC board mounting screws, and also be suspicious of any electrolytic cap
I'd like to find a PDF for the schematic for this transverter. It is not shown on the TecTec website, unfortunately. Can anyone help? Pete _______________________________________________ TenTec maili
Carl, that would be great. Just the schematic. Pete _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec
I ran into the same issue with an Omni VI. a front panel switch matrix developed a leakage resistance between a row and column. Stopped uP processes as soon as the interrupt was raised.. I could see
Hello to the group... I picked up a "parts" Omni VI recently to keep as a spare and as test bed to repair boards. Unfortunately, it is missing the metal bracket that holds the internal speaker, and t

Just curious, does anyone know if TenTec still sells replacement tuning knob tires in the different colors they once offered? Orange, Red, Gray, etc.? I don't want to bother their overworked service
