I just bought a used Omni VI+. I tried the band scan feature and it sounds lousy. CW sounds chirpy. Sounds great in every other respect. Do I have something set wrong?

I just bought a used OMNI VI+ and it seems to work great in every respect except Band Scan. When I do a Band Scan, the frequency of the receiver becomes unstable and CW signals sound very chirpy. The
