For any of you who are having problems, here my experience.... I struggled with the 305 serial interface level controller and just couldn't get it to talk to my PC, so I bought a cheap Icom CI-V seri

Some time ago the power output on my Argonaut V dropped to nearly zero on all bands. TenTec say the most likely cause is a) one or more of the switching diodes in the LPF circuits or b) blown finals

I have noticed in the last month or so that the display on my Omni V.9 freezes up after about 20 minutes operation. Recently it has got worse and the display is frozen when I switch on the rig. Rotat

The fact that it has been a gradual increase in the problem maybe points to a component failure rather than a working loose of one of the interconnects. I'll take the lid off and unplug/plug all the

Yes, I thought that was the case. I tried a power + CLR/CLK reset, but it didn't do the trick. And yes, I did it after installing your V.9 chip! 73 Bob MM0RKT ________________________________________

I tried the power + CLR/CLK reset, but it didn't do the trick. I'll be taking the lid off the rig in due course and I'll do the necessary with the screwdriver, etc. 73 Bob MM0RKT ____________________

by the way. I'm not sure about the software. The V -> V.9 mod involves replacement of the main EPROM ie a change of the firmware. There are enough V.9 modded rigs out there to have shown up this prob

Mine has low power on all bands, by the looks of it, so it may be the finals instead of the diodes in the LPF circuits - unless they're all blown! By the way, I spotted on your website the note about

Most of what I do is CW or digital, so as narrow as 200Hz would do RTTY, MFSK and PSK31 as well. Yep, agreed, but maybe I was naive to expect better from an 8-pole filter! Backlight works although it

Yes, there's one here in the UK, called AOR UK, would you believe? The service guys in TenTec USA reckon it's most likely a faulty optical encoder, so I'll order one up and do it myself. 73 Bob MM0RK
