Is the behavior the same on the Cosair 1? This is an interesting (if odd) result. Especially as it is an important issue for comparing IMD DR and other numbers (which is what I'm doing). Sherwood (et

It could be just a configuration issue. Or it could be a kernel regression ... <http://blog.aa6e.net/2007/03/among-kernel-developers.html> My new Dell laptop has only USB ports, so I bought a Keyspan

Interesting tip. In the Omni series C (TT 546 Series C) I not that design was rather cobbled together to add the WARC bands. They had decided on low side LO so they used that for 17m too. So 4MHz cry

Of course. The mixing will invert the sideband even though the tuning direction isn't changed. Better than lots of RF in the IF strip. At least they wised up on the next design. Ah, the perils of put

The other thing to consider is good old fashioned cross-over distortion at low audio levels. This seems to be the reason TT suggested a pad (of a couple of hundered ohms) in series with the headphone

Are you sure you actually need to modify the ring mixer diodes? When I got around to looking at one of my (now two) 525D's I noticed there are a few differences even in the same model run. I've been

Another difference between the 525D and the 525 is the low/high power switching. In the analogue 525 the switch takes the PA out of the system -- the driver drives to LP filters. In the digital 525 t

My point was that you aren't going to get a better match from 4 HP separate diodes (which may or may not come from the same batch) than the integrated ring so that mod is not worthwhile Do you agree?
