Always got good audio reports before and after the upgrade. Use the hand mic which came with my Argo 556 or an older 705 desk mic. Was not impressed with the hand mic which came with the 516. kc4atu

I find the wanting of S Meter test to be a bit odd. S meters are not now nor have never been anything but a relative indication of a signal and never should have been install on any radio. With that
