It sounds like the 40m band xtal has aged and is subsequently off frequency; it's not at all uncommon. You can either try to modify the oscillator to make it "warpable" or buy a new crystal. Al, K2ZN

Marcus It sounds like the 30m bandpass filter may be in need of realignment. The board is on the bottom side of the rig. If you've got a manual, it's pretty easy to locate the right coils and adjust.
