The fan would be useful if you plan to operate at 20W continuous. I found that the heat sinks get warm when I get very long winded on PSK or MFSK. I don't have the model 310 fan (I wish I did though)

I've seen these before - to me it looks like I have to change AM-DRIVE to 25 watts or less and adjust the mic gain so that the ALC light only comes on during voice peaks. But what I do not understand

Well, I thought I was doing myself a favor using a studio-grade speaker on my Jupiter but i'm finding I like the internal speaker a lot better, at least for CW work. For phone operation i'm undecided
