Thanks Martin....that is what I will probably do. My laptop has only USB ports, but I can use a PCMIA card with serial or parallel port on it. I can control all other aspects of the radio, but can't

Charles..... Exactly why I sold my K3 and kept the Orion. But, I could hear the difference as well. And, the s l o w and low SSB output was also an issue. No band stacking registers was not fun. 73 J

Barry... Interesting. I was a beta user for the most recent release. I did not find the SSB output issue to be fixed. It would not "hold" the power level, especially when driving the amp. 73 John K4N
