If anyone is using a USB port to key the Orion in CW mode via a software program, please email me off-line! I need some guidance.... I have both N1MM Logger and WriteLog. 73 John K4NP
Thanks Martin....that is what I will probably do. My laptop has only USB ports, but I can use a PCMIA card with serial or parallel port on it. I can control all other aspects of the radio, but can't
Charles..... Exactly why I sold my K3 and kept the Orion. But, I could hear the difference as well. And, the s l o w and low SSB output was also an issue. No band stacking registers was not fun. 73 J
Barry... Interesting. I was a beta user for the most recent release. I did not find the SSB output issue to be fixed. It would not "hold" the power level, especially when driving the amp. 73 John K4N
Well, I agree, but since we started it, some guys are probably interested. Let me end it by telling you that even a setting of 3.0, the max, doesn't get it done here. 73 John K4NP -- Original Message
Hi Folks..... Decided to add to the Orion here. Looking for a MINT example of either of the above from non-smoker. Please email me off-line with configuration and asking price. 73 John K4NP

Well, I certainly agree on the firmware update issue. But, personally I prefer the Orion and sold my K3. We each have our own preferences. 73 John K4NP -- Original Message -- From: "Jim" <pywacker@fu
I simply viewed this as an opportunity to provide input to a Company interested in my needs/wants in a new radio. I completed it in the best way I could. I also feel that I can supply additional comm

Hi Rick...et al.... I took Scott's message this morning as a positive sign. Improving existing gear before producing new gear. Fingers crossed here. I did, in fact, sell my K3. I like my Orion. 73 Jo
Hi Folks.... I have had many emails asking why I decided to sell my K3. First, my K3/100 was SN 77, equipped with the ATU and 500 Hz five pole roofing filter. I am primarily a CW, DX chaser type op.
Thought I'd mention this for your info. I always pay for gear purchased via mail by USPS Money Order. As I understand it, it allows for a Federal offense if any fraud is committed. Don't think many g
Sorry guys......I hit a reply to the wrong email! Gosh, I'm getting old! John -- Original Message -- From: "fraz1" <fraz1@bellsouth.net> To: "Discussion of Ten-Tec Equipment" <tentec@contesting.com>
Looking for the model 219 250 Hz filter or the INRAD equivalent. Please email me with price, including shipping. Will be using as roofing filter in my Orion. And, yes, I already have the INRAD 600 Hz
I tried to resist spending 10 bucks a piece for the new rubber trim pieces offered for the later TT equipment. But, the "kid" in me won out. They actually look and fell very nice on my Orion. Glad I
