I've never been been really happy with the way my Heil hand mic sounds on the Corsair. It has now developed a short so I need to re solder it. With all the talk of the issues involved in wiring a hei

Thanks to Martin Ewing, AA6E, for accepting the challenge and providing my club (Meriden ARC CT ) with a very professorial power point presentation on the Orion. He brought the actual rig in, and we

Hmm... It seems that Spell Check not only changed my spelling but also changed the entire word ;-) Whether the talk was professional or professorial (or a bit of both ) it was a good talk either way.

I think the Argonaut II is the 535, TT tends to number rigs a bit funny <g> 73, Bob KB1CIW? Argonaut II ? TenTec 515? Don't believe so. I have one sitting here on my desk, and it doesn't cover 60m. -

I have used an amplified D 104, Heil HMM, and the stock mic, mobile with my Scout. The guys on the local net prefer the D 104, Heil and stock mic in that order. It's a little silly to use a D 104 mob

I'm looking for a punchy, crisp, clear, hand held microphone to use with my Scout and Corsair. I have had good success with a big "D-104" but of course that is not very practical for mobile work <g>
