Merle, Since you were in the area, I hope you also stayed for the SEDCO (SouthEastern Dx and Contesting Org) conference immediately following the Ten-Tec hamfest at the MainStay Suites in Pigeon Forg
Terry, If you still have the hard drive from the 486/DOS, install it in the Windows machine as a second drive. If your bios will allow, set it to boot off the DOS drive and run TR like you used too.
I must be QSOing a LOT of TenTec users (to keep it reflector related <g>) LOTW stats: 57,233 QSO's in the log 13,318 QSL's -or23.26% 73, Ted W4NZ --Original Message-- From: tentec-bounces@contesting.

You must be listening to a different signal than what I'm copying. What I'm currently hearing ( 0120z) on 14220kHz is a signal that is S7 to S9+ here in Chattanooga coming from a heading of around 28
The signal has just disappeared, possibly the band has folded. (0129z) I had tried to copy it on several modes including FM. Could not detect any modulation other than what I've already mentioned. Gu
Yes, I'm hearing it in Chattanooga, peaking S5-6 with QSB, bearing is 270-280 degrees. Definitely same signal as yesterday. Ted W4NZ --Original Message-- From: tentec-bounces@contesting.com [mailto:t
Logger32 by K4CY http://www.logger32.net/ It's free and works great. 73, Ted W4NZ Ken, I use xmlog as my main log. I am able to export from HRD, and N1MM and many more to track awards. It does a good
Can someone please tell me what type of connector is used for the band data outputs? Can't find it in the manual or on the website. Any suggestions on connecting a Dunestar model 600 to the Orion? Th
Thanks, Bob! 73, Ted W4NZ Hello Ted, The connector for the Orion 1 (and the Orion 2 is probably the same) is by TE Connectivity (successor company to Amp). The plastic housing is TE part number 1-640
Ten-Tec reps were out in force at the recent Huntsville(AL) Hamfest/Southeast Division Conference. As for K3's and dxpeditions, it's 8lbs vs "a lot heavier" for the same performance, no mystery there
Jack, I think you made a typo regarding pin 4. Fwiw, my copy of the Orion II manual (October 2006) on page 27 shows pin 3 of the Aux I/O jack as PTT and pin 7 as FSK. Pin 4 is line level output, pin
Do you have a computer with a hardware com port available to test? USB/serial adapters can often be driver/applications/RF sensitive. Ted W4NZ Has anyone had this problem? My Orion II no longer works
Dave, I agree with Barry. My Orion II behaves as you describe when using SO2V. Do not know of any way to change this in N1MM and I suspect it is hard coded into the software. A note to K3CT might get
Jack, see page 28 of the Orion manual: "Pin 4 is line level audio output. Which receiver(s) are output to here and the level of audio sent to the jack are controlled by the Line Out Src and Line Out
Distorted how? SSB and/or CW? Can you describe the distortion? It is distorted through headphones? Distorted through speaker? What are the PBT and BW settings? Are either the NB or NR on? 73, Ted W4N
If you are getting distortion on strong ssb signals, does it clear up if you reduce the RF Gain? Make sure the AGC isn't turned off. Check the AGC settings. Do you hear any distortion on equally stro
Well said, Bob. One other comment... If someone posts a request for help and gets a response, it should be normal courtesy to at least acknowledge that response in a timely manner. I've seen question
