I have done the dual boot/FreeDOS thing with my XP machine. TRLog runs fine, except for one big problem - serial ports. I was never able to get my after-market PCI serial ports to work with FreeDOS,

I also dual-boot DOS and Win XP. On my previous computer (1 GHz Athlon) I also dual-booted FreeDOS/XP. However, when I upgraded computers last year, trlog would lock up sporadically under FreeDOS on
