You need to delete (or move or rename) the RESTART.BIN file. I'm assuming this is the file you're calling .rst and trying to edit .... I don't think there is any file associated with TRlog that ends

Although I can't guess what is wrong at your end, here 6.74 does work fine with CTRL-J as normal. 6.79 also just fine. Maybe your original update file is corrupted somehow, maybe get another copy? 73

local doesn't make The restart.bin is likely "resisting" the changes you made to the log files.... remove or rename the file or in someway prevent TR from seeing it.... 73 Don VE6JY _________________

either disable the parallel keyer option or connect the //port keying box to terminate the keyer dot dash lines properly. BTW we just ran the RAC Winter contest (as VE6RAC) with 6 networked computers
