- This may seem like a pound of feathers -vs- a pound of flour, but ... I'm thinking about doing the ARRL 160 test with a bob-tail and vertical antennas. Typically what size ballons should be used? 3ft

- In my experience, and I've run half waves with balloons many times, you should get a larger size balloon of at least 4 feet and preferably 5. You don't need anything above that. Reason is that helium
