I regularly run SD on an Intel Mac using Bootcamp and WinXP. Haven't tried CrossOver yet but plan to sometime. There can a be slight problem editing function keys within SD in finding the key mapping

I've run SD in a Parallels virtual machine including the USB-serial converters. The virtual machine will allow you to install windows drivers for the USB-serial devices even if OSX doesn't support it
