I also have been using the registered version of Agent for years and have never had a virus infect my computer. Agent is well worth the small expense for the registered version. While I'm on my soapb

Forgot to mention that I DO NOT use an anti-virus program (i.e. Norton) and have never had a virus. Anti-virus programs slow down your 'puter too much. Agent is all I've needed to keep those pesky cr

Another email program worth considering is Pegasus Mail, which is free, and allows selective downloading, ie only headers which you can delete at the ISP, and also can be told not to open html files
