I must have missed something. A friend of mine has a TS-480HX and as I recall, it runs true FSK out of the box. Looking at the manual, it shows pin 8 on the Remote plug on the back as the FSK pin. A

Yep, I know about that remote pin. I set menu 40 to ON but that only changed the display equal to the CW offset set in Menu 34. Max that it can be set to is 1000. FSK is the way to go. 73 Thom KI8W O
