Rag, this may or may not affect your thoughts on it as an RTTY radio, but page 4 of the FT-920 user's manual (http://hamradio.online.ru/ftp2/man_ft-920.pdf ) states: I.e., the FT-920 is a Keyed-AFSK

I'm sure I will regret questioning Chen on radio matters, but I believe the MP also uses an internal digitally-synthesized afsk generator for RTTY. I'm so paranoid that I just rechecked my memory by

I bought my FT-920 back in early 2004 from a colleague at work and have been running RTTY (AFSK) since then. I run the audio-out from an RCA jack at back of the rig and audio-in via the mic. I think
