The age thing is primarily in our part of the world. Earlier this summer, I was in Macedonia for the IARU High Speed Telegraphy World Championship, and it amazed me how many young people were there.

I've operated WAE for many years (even before computer logging!) and the QTC issue has never been a problem. It's fairly common for stations worked early in the contest to come back and ask for QTCs
