I've had a few inquiries about the difference between the FSKit (which is described in the August 2011 QST) and the FSK regenerator, which is a similar project I did a few years ago. I made the schem

You have probably spent more time on the other end of a DX pileup than I have, and I've never operated from a location like ST0R. But in my limited experience operating from DX locations I have never

Perhaps that applies to some rigs, but the last 4 radios I have used for RTTY contesting and DXing (Kenwood TS-850, Kenwood TS-2000, Icom 756Pro3, and Yaesu FT-1000MP) had no problems running 100w on

There is a chapter in my Hallicrafters HT-37 manual entitled "Notes on RTTY Operation of the HT-37 Transmitter/Exciter." This transmitter (and some others of its day) had a feedthrough cap going to t

Interesting report, Don - well done! And even though today's technology has left them behind it warms my heart to see mention of your use of the JPS NIR-12 DSP noise filters :-) 73, Doug K4DSP ______

Putting aside the rule for a moment, I run across a lot of folks who run radios on RTTY at 30 to 50 watts when their radios *can* run 100w continuously. Over the last 20 years or so I have run 100w f

All, I've gotten a lot of email all the sudden about the FSKit. It puzzled me until I heard that QST had apparently published another article referencing the FSKit. Then I remembered that WB3LHD had
