I think I would have given him the exchange to see how he replied after that. Might have been possible after he replied for you to keep the frequency. I remember working a 3 character call recently,

When I monitor the beacons with FAROS, my bandwidth is set to 400 Hz and everything works FB. I think a +/- 1.5 KHz window is a waste of bandwidth, especially on a contesting weekend. Jerry W4UK ____
