I'm a little old fashioned and believe that RTTY should ALWAYS be done using FSK for sending. If one wants to use AFSK, there are plenty of modes that originated using that method. PSK31 is a very go

It's really OK to use AFSK for RTTY, providing the rig is properly adjusted and putting out a good clean signal. I find that my ICOM M710 draws 20 amps on FSK at 150 watts out and draws 30 amps on AF
