It would be better if they had shielded cable. I run shielded twisted pair cable for my tv surround sound system, and just for good measure wrap it around a ferrite core at the receiver end. David Ro

Dave, I rarely disagree with anything you say, but I strongly disagree with this one. Pro audio is my expertise, and LOTS of experience says that cable shielding is NOT important for RFI rejection on

or if running the cables where you don't want to have to do it again you still run shielded twisted pairs. The cable I used did not have foil/drain, it had real braid shield which I brought out sepa

No issues with real braid, but it's overkill. And it is VERY important that the shield be bonded to the CHASSIS, not to "audio ground" or other such silliness. 73, Jim K9YC __________________________
