I use the Progressive Industries EMS-PT30X surge protector. I would like to stop or reduce the RFI coming in on the shore line of my RV. I am thinking of put some ferrite snap-on beads, mix 31 for HF

Have you ruled out the RV converter causing RFI? I have to leave my RV unplugged over the winter as its under my HF antenna and causes interference. My converter also causes interference to broadcast

How much current does your RV draw? I'm thinking of a large line filter which you could build yourself and save a few $$. A good LISN (Line Isolation Network) used in EMC testing might also do a numb

I wouldn't use snap on beads, as there is little choking R. Check out the Field Day generator choke that K9YC describes on his web site. Choking all three wires is a must. If there still is RFI then

What a timely question....  I am planning the install of the radio "station" (spot) in our new RV currently being built. I'm guessing pretty much all the same rules apply to your RV as your house....

Considering the RV manufacturers generally use the cheapest electrical and electronic crap they can buy, I can't imagine how noisy they will be... We are awaiting delivery of our toy hauler from mfg.

I second the IOTA charger/power supply. I've had my DLS-55 in the shack for years and it is on 24/7. No RFI. The fan is barely audible. Mine is mounted under the radio table and I forget it is there.
