I have had good luck using my homebrew shielded loop for hunting down RFI on the low bands. The construction article from National Contest Journal is at: http://www.n6rk.com/loopantennas/NCJ_loop_an

I don't see why a GFCI circuit should need a green wire to work. It should be able to detect an imbalance between the neutral and phase currents independently of what is going on with ground. Rick N6

The problem here is the salt water path. I have found from driving around that power line noise travels a long way when over high conductivity ground, so that even getting miles away from the nearest

I have an intermittent RFI issue that comes from a subdivision about a 1/4 mile away. To combat the noise I have been trying to use my ANC4 and I built a sense antenna out KD8NNU Connect the horizont

I have tried this idea also but again not enough gain on those antennas. The vertical has s9 noise the others are 1/2 that level same as the KD8NNU If you are OK with vertical polarization, the simpl

I have a powerline noise coming from about 2 miles away, which is nevertheless quite strong at my QTH. Here are the symptoms: 1. A 120 Hz noise burst at regular intervals, about 0.9 seconds apart. 2.

I am going to start with the preamp kit DXE sells to go with the flag kit. This particular noise source is extremely strong so I am optimistic that it will be sufficient. I can add the preamp that ca
