- The noise is coming down the antenna; disconnecting it removed the noise. I didn't ground the exhaust pipe though. The NB on the 706 is pretty good, but it can't overcome S7 noise. I doubt even my Cl

- It's a Ford e-150 cargo van, just like the Econoline passenger vans. I've had enough. I took out the Icom 706 today & put in the Yaesu ft-8100 2m/70cm radio. Since it's a company van, I'll be getting

- I have a 2001 Ford e-150 full-size cargo van that has major (S7) fuel pump noise. (The Econoline vans are the same kind.) It makes HF completely useless on my Icom 706/2g. I know it's fuel pump noise
