Are both towers running on the same or close to the same channel? You should have proper channel separation between those towers or else your AP will "commit-suicide" (reboot) every time it gets conf

Sounds like you might be on the right track. Power supply doesn't have enough current to the unit? Turn off the watchdog reset, too. Someone was having trouble with that recently weren't they? At 09:
