We use 15v power supplies when you get a cat5 run longer then 50-60'. It has been my experience that the RGs will run a battery down to around 6v and then quit working. So my guess is the range is 6-

Travis 12vDC should would be a good choice for these runs, the standard 9vDC PS should also work ok on the 50' run. To be save just have a volt meter in your tool kit to make sure you get good voltag
