I have seen this problem. If you use the Prism cards on both ends of the link, you get equally bad results, but at least you don't think anything is wrong. :)

Do you have any other network cards or connections on your computer? If so, disable them all except the one to the Internet. Also check your route table for bogus cached routes and then delete them.
