set ct for the ts-850 and it works fine. it gives a failure when you first start up ct, but all the commands work ok. probably the 870 responds to some kind of init command differently than the 850 d

you should be able to just scroll back to those q's and set the right band with alt-f1/alt-f2 and have it accept them for score ok. if you insist on editing the exact frequency you can use b2r, edit
