Hi, Is anyone using a GAP VOYAGER DX antenna? If yes what us your opinion of the antenna on 80m and 160m? Would you recommend this antenna? If no, what would you recommend for 160m in a limited area

Hi, John. I had one for several years. It was okay on 40, passable at times on 80, and lousy on 160, even though it showed really neat SWR. I have essentially the same space restrictions that you do.

I've had mighty good luck with a 40 foot high NORD with an OMEGA match, and 32 radials, some were actually a 1/4 wave long.I'm currently building a new vertical that, should.... we all hope the best

I would agree with Joe ..... I had a Voyager up for about 5 years in a 1 acre field. Real good on 40 Pretty decent on 80 Poor on 160 - both RX and TX I've had much better luck on 160 with a loaded 1/

GAP Voyager is probably the worst antenna ever made. Several years ago a friend of mine, who lived 2 miles from me, put one up. He wanted to make A/B checks with me because I had full-sized antennas

I considered getting a Gap antenna (either a Voayger or a Titan) a while back but read some reviews on-line and didn't like what I saw. Evidently they have mechanical problems as well and in some cas
