A couple of the locals (and many of you, I am sure) found that we are not in the logs of a couple big-ish M/S's and M-2 Caribbean stations logs for the latest CQWW SSB 2016 Both of us are very very c
Good observation, and no, it shouldn't be allowed. Barry W2UP Both of us are very very careful with mults and have very low LCR % errors. (0.4% NIL's) (14 calls out of 3112 QSO's) At first I thought
This kind of scrubbing to meet the 10 minute rule is akin to rubber clocking and should not be allowed. This is where the recordings should come in handy. 73 Ria, N2RJ _______________________________
Yep! Looks like it happens , another contest no-no. I was deprived from very unique record: maximum QSOs with 0 point result. In good faith I worked my butt of working as many 0 point stations as I c
Sounds like something for the contest administrators and log checkers to be studying! 73, Jim K9YC Both of us are very very careful with mults and have very low LCR % errors. (0.4% NIL's) (14 calls o
Are we ready to accept that we have a cheating problem in Contesting it is not a small problem now? I would assume in this case that CQ can go over their extensive over the air recordings and attempt
I sympathize with your not getting credit for the QSOs, but an accusation of cheating is off the mark in this case. After all, if they intended to cheat, why did they remove the QSOs from the logs? P
OK Dick,, let's not call it cheating, but a couple of us here in MCC that are very very careful with logging.....lost the same big Caribbean M-S and M-2 mults and when we both went looking at their o
Wow...this is something. An audio recording of the scrubbed Qs would be interesting to hear. 73 de Vince, VA3VF == A couple of the locals (and many of you, I am sure) found that we are not in the log
I bet if I was to download a large enough sampling from CQWW SSB 2016 contesters open logs, (and knew what to do with it) I might find other W, VE , DL & Is (common mults) lost the same rare M-S, M-2
I made one incorrect assumption with one of my posts in that I mistakenly believed that all the 2016 LCR's were public now. All that are public right this moment are the logs themselves, so I have no
Vince - good thinking. I am pretty sure I still have my recordings from the CQWW's on one of my computers somewhere. I'll have to sift through it this w/e when I have time. Course--I don't have anyon

If this was indeed a case of scrubbing a log of QSOs that were in violation of a band change rule, the X-QSO function was the way for the M/S or M/2 to handle it. Not by deleting QSOs. 73 - Jim K8MR
I lost an 80m multiplier from a Jamaican station. He was running and I was S&P. I went back and listened to my audio recordings and without a doubt he responded to my call, sent me his exchange. Howe
Is there a way to have some unclaimed QSOs in a cabrillo file? John KK9A I was advised to do that by K3EST for the 8P8P CQ WW SSB M/S log when we discovered that a bug in our logging software caused
No. When you break the rules and fail to observe the rules for the class you are in you either get the DQ or you get moved into the appropriate class for which you made yourself or a check log. Sorry
The Cabrillo specification does allow for this. See https://wwrof.org/cabrillo/cabrillo-specification-v3/ X-QSO: qso-data Any QSO marked with this tag will be ignored in your log. Use to mark QSOs ma
This will depend on the contest. For CQWW, the other station should receive credit for the QSO. _______________________________________________ CQ-Contest mailing list CQ-Contest@contesting.com http:
Hi Randy, What happens to the other station? I had two QSOs in CQWW 2016 marked with X on a different band while doing mono band. Both qsos are listed under "Stations Receiving Not In Log From DJ7WW"
To be clear in context and for *most* contests, for mono band (single band) entries, there is no need to use the "X-QSO" function for QSOs on a different band. Assuming that your single band category
