That is a good suggestion for a portable rig that will do nicely on HF. A used Yaesu FT890 would also be nice as it has the built in tuner (which is supposed to match about anything) as well as the b

Guess I should mention using the set up described below I won both the CQWWDX and ARRL 10 meter as SOLP in the Philippines twice the two years I made separate trips there, so the rig does work. 73 __
