Barry my experience is not to try and use whole numbers and it usually results in getting and holding a clear frequency. Always have to tune and find that sweet spot and hope u hold it! Lol! 73 Ed K5

Nice John, thank you for this advice, very good especially for the 40m freq and those that feel the need to run at the upper limits due to the extremely crowded conditions one can experience on 20m.
