Go for a larger one as the "off the shelf" transformers most likely are NOT rated for continuous duty at the nominal 3A or 4A. In other words, they'll probably cook when put into service as a filamen

I would say check out your primary supply volts first. My is 240v es swings +/- 6%.. A mate his primary supply is 252v constant, this all effects ur secondary voltage,, here I use a constant voltage
