- The AL-80A with a S/N below 500, does it have all the important changes or are there some more that need to be made. I am thinking about buying one which has a early SN, below 500. Tnx Dale, K9VUJ

- Even if you buy a new one, there are some worthwhile circuit improvements. Also, running more than c. 420mA plate/anode current to s single 3-500Z is guaranteed to cause rotten splatter. cheers, Dal
