I just bought a new (sealed in the box) Penta 8877 that has a data sheet indicating it was built and tested 6/13 - 11 years ago. My search reveals some conflicting information about starting this tub

A good 8877 can easily go 20 years from the last use to the next, however if you want to be sure just run filament only for 24 hours before plate voltage. Cant hurt. Sent from the all new AOL app for
