- Iv come to a misunderstanding about 240V hookup. Is the neutral supposed to be connected to the case and the ground too, from a 4wire drop?? I cant find a description of the 240V hookup in the HL-2K

- No, no, never connect the neutral to any ground (e.g. the case, the grounding conductor in the 4-wire line, etc)! That is a violation of the electrical code and dangerous on top of it. I can't tell y

- I have an HL-1K from THP, and the power cord is only 2 conductors. The manual gives wiring schemes for 100v, 110v, 117/120v, 200v,220v, and 234/240v. Only the 2 leads are illustrated (obviously a hot

- When switching from 120v to 240v the white wire becomes a hot wire, so simply make the wiring change in the amp to 240, then connect the white and black from the original cord to the 2 hots to the ho

- The manual should show you were for a 4 wire hook up the Red (110), Black(110), and White(neutral) connect. The Green (OR Bare) wire goes to chassis ground. Both the Red and Black wires are 120 to ne

- The neutral is to carry the unbalanced current back to the pole transformer. The ground is to never have a return load until a fault, the ground is their for your safety _____________________________

- Not sure but someone else may have answered your reply but, if not, here is my reply. First, you shouldn't confuse the green wire with a neutral. It is not a neutral, it is a 'grounding' conductor -

- I see some differences and I don't know if you meant 3 wire 120 or 3 wire 240. Here with 3 wire 120, neutral is 0 volts to ground. Actually there is a common point in the main breaker panel where the
