By the way, my original post should have read 1400pF, 940pF and 470pF of capacitance, since these are not individual capacitors, but rather caps in parallel. I didn't proof read my post well enough,

Why don't you use mica caps as Ameritron does. They are much more robust as padders, and don't drift like door knobs do. They are reasonably priced from the factory. (((73))) Phil, K5PC ____________
