Hello. I have a, new to me, Commander-2000. I can tune it up for, say, 1400 watts with key-down and maintain that output on SSB or CW throughout a QSO. New to also is JT65A/ FSK441 for Meteor Scatter

The manual should have the tuning sequence they prefer, but with grounded grid amps it's normally just tune for max out while keeping the drive low enough to not exceed the maximum grid current. If m

Sounds to me like something's overheating and drifting. Do you notice any meter readings changing as this thing is falling off in output power? Ip? Ig? If nothing changes and output power drifts down
