The meter fsd is 30uA, the extra power will probably result in a current about twice that - I can't imagine 60uA burning a meter movement out. The current through the meter movement is only1.4 times the current (at 1 kw) vs. 500W. If you move the slug to point directly up (no; /archives//html/Amps/2005-10/msg00567.html (8,365 bytes)
