- They are good for high current, but not so much for high voltage. I replaced one in a friend's 4-1000A amplifier after it was damaged by corona-induced arcing. The amp was running at 3600v. -- Vic, K

- If the corona was due to circuit design dont blame the switch. I was also going to suggest insulating it from ground as would be done in a bigger amp but the OP only has some 2500V tubes. Carl KM1H _
